Squeeze the last minutes out of these summer days with meaningful family memories at a variety of events in the Olympia region this Labor Day Weekend. From a festival on the harbor to flag football to an out of this world UFO festival—make your weekend planning a festival fete.

1. Battle Northwest Regional Flag Football Tournament

Watch the showdown at the Battle Northwest Regional Flag Football Tournament. Men, women and youth compete for prizes, including a chance to go to the Orlando World Championships. Pack a picnic and a blanket to watch the fun. For those with littles ones, there is a playground onsite to run off energy and walking trails. The battle takes place at the Lacey-Thurston Regional Athletic Complex and parking is right onsite with a bevy of restaurants nearby to catch dinner after the games.

2. Olympia Harbor Days

This long-standing festival is right on the waterfront, the top attraction in the region. Climb aboard the Lady Washington, a historic wooden sailboat featured in movies like Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, or take a free tour of the working Port. Food, live music, a theater production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest and a procession of the tugs round out this multi-day festival.
