Visit a Farmer's Market
Harvest season is in full swing and there are a variety of farmers markets throughout the Olympia region bursting with tasty treats and delectable gift ideas (it's never too early to start holiday shopping, right?). Check out the Olympia Farmer's Market in the heart of downtown or venture out along the Thurston Bountiful Byway (a 60 mile scenic route through rural Thurston County) and discover the Yelm Farmers Market and Tenino Farmers Market. Come meet our local artisans—they're smiling and ready to serve you from behind their masks.
Boo Bash Festival
Oct 24 through Nov 1
An annual favorite, the Hand's On Children's Museum's Boo Bash invites families of all sizes to explore their fall fun offerings. With an extended run this season, the festival offers Halloween-inspired activities, costumes, and more without the fright! Explore a straw bale maze, press apples into cider, decorate a pumpkin and float it in the regatta, watch weird Dr. Science demos, silkscreen a treat bag, and more! Boo Bash is recommended for children ages 10 and under and features a sensory friendly session as well.
