Each end of the trail has an abundance of things to do and see, and high on the priority list for most families will likely be food and drink.
On the Tenino side, Talking Cedar makes for a great stop. They feature a brewery, distillery, tasting room and restaurant all-in-one. The craft beer is brewed by The Chehalis Indian Tribe and the spirits distilled by Heritage Distilling Co. The upscale pub food is locally sourced and inspired, and there’s a kid’s menu. Fairfield Inn and Suites is adjacent if after all of that, you’re ready to call it a day.
Or, in Tenino-proper, go for Don Juan’s Mexican Kitchen off of Old Highway 99. It’s Mexican cuisine of local legend.
On the Yelm side, visit Prairie Park. There’s a hotel, a movie theater, and an amazing restaurant, Uptown Lounge, featuring wildly creative drinks, house-made ingredients and even fresh juice daily. Check out their Facebook to watch their servers performing extraordinary feats.
