Bastard Pies

Overview

Joe Rumberger has been cooking professionally since 1999, first job was tossing pies at his neighborhood pizzeria in high school. While working for one of the top chefs in America in 2010 he was criticized for "bastardizing" the staff meal pizzas with all sorts of crazy toppings (which EVERYONE loved), and hence the name Bastard Pies was born.

Since then, the focus has been on unique sauces and toppings on a classic and reverent style of dough, and that's why they've adopted the slogan "food we love on dough you know." Their food truck is now located in the parking lot of the Tipsy Whale Mercantile on Steamboat Island.
