Witness the culmination of over twenty queer oral history interviews, all focusing on Olympia LGBTQIA2S+ past, present, and future. Window Seat Media and Capital City Pride have partnered up to produce the Pride Storytelling Project: a Community Roots initiative to document queer history throughout Thurston County. Members of the 2024-2026 queer cohort will present their various projects that utilize the oral history interviews recorded in 2024 and 2025. Audiences can expect a curriculum presentation from local teacher Lucas Claussen, a panel discussion led by artist Jonah Barnett, interactive exhibits created by producer Wild Tiny, and elder storytelling & original solo piano compositions by Azadi Amaan. Queer organizations from around the county will also be tabling, offering visitors a chance to engage with their queer communities.
