LIFT opens Olympia Symphony’s 2026/27 season, Kaleidoscope, with American music in full color.

From Jessie Montgomery’s Banner, a searching reimagining of the national anthem, to Wynton Marsalis’s sweeping Blues Symphony, this concert listens to America through joy, memory, resilience, and hope. Guest artist Calder Failla joins the orchestra for Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, where classical brilliance meets jazz-age energy, followed by the symphonic world of Porgy and Bess: Catfish Row and James P. Johnson’s Victory Stride.

A season opener with rhythm, soul, and lift.
