Join us in the morning (9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) as we help maintain a hedgerow at Helsing Junction Farms in Rochester. Our wonderful hedgerow demo-site farmers are busy producing local organic food for our community and could use our help keeping weeds at bay so that their young hedgerows will flourish.
In addition to helping protect this working demonstration site from elk and tackling the weeds, this is an opportunity to hear about the many lessons learned from our very first demo hedgerow, which was installed almost three years ago. You’ll get the behind-the-scenes scoop from the original designers and learn about the benefits hedgerows can provide on a wide range of sites, including wildlife habitat, protecting water resources, and much more!
Come for the camaraderie and stay for the learning!
