Join the Monastics of Passaddhi Vihara for their Friday Alms Round by 11:20 am near the Olympia Farmer’s Market. Alms Round is an ancient Buddhist tradition in which monks receive food from the community as an expression of generosity and interdependence. After the offering, community members are welcome to share a meal with the monastics and participate in Dhamma conversation. The monastics freely offer Buddhist teachings and meditation instruction as part of this shared practice.
No experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome to offer food, share the meal, ask questions, or simply come learn about this living tradition.
