Soul Café in west Olympia is a small, family-owned business. Owners Prism and Devon have over 20 years of combined experience working in the restaurant industry with a very clear vision for the café. They focus on sustainability; all to-go ware is compostable, and they compost & recycle as well.
Using primarily organic and local ingredients, their meat is local and free-range, all produce is organic. Crowd favorites include the Lavender Blueberry Mylkshake, Cardamom Rose Latte, Truffle Smashed Potatoes, and a Raspberry Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Many ingredients are made in-house, including:
organic cashew mylk, simple syrup, chocolate sauce, concentrated cold-brew coffee and nitro coffee, and their "house sauce", Cocopote (roasted garlic, coconut, chipotle). You'll also find vegan ice cream as well as probiotic sodas on tap.
They help support other small businesses by using fresh bread from local baker Blue Heron, fermented veggies from Oly Krout, and chicken from Stewart's meats.
Soul Café is a place where people come together to build community. They have beautiful outdoor seating, weekly open-mic nights, occasional live music, weekly ecstatic dance events, and soon to come; workshops.
All menu items can be made vegan/vegetarian, and they also have gluten-free options. Soul Café celebrates LGBTQ+ friends, BIPOC friends, fellow weirdos, yogis, and families.
