FIFA World Cup 2026™ action is happening right here in Washington State this summer, and we’re gearing up to welcome new visitors to Thurston County. With Seattle and Vancouver, BC hosting matches, we see a major opportunity to introduce thousands of visiting fans to the incredible experiences waiting for them in Thurston County.
We’re partnering with the Thurston County Chamber of Commerce as they lead the efforts to bring the Olympia – Lacey – Tumwater Fan Zone to Thurston County. This will provide everyone a fun, welcoming place to gather and celebrate.
A targeted advertising approach focuses on capturing travelers before they book and while they’re planning their trip to Washington through the following channels:
- Digital programmatic advertising to reach soccer fans around the United States who are already searching for things to do around Seattle.
- Expedia advertising targeting travelers searching for hotels in and around Seattle, directing them to Thurston County lodging options, and other activities via a landing page.
- Google Search ads to help ensure the Experience Olympia & Beyond website appears higher in search results.
