Discover the fundamentals of prop making and create your own unique piece of foam armor.
In this class we'll go over the basics of prop making armor. From creating a foam prop from a template, to recycling found materials to achieve a look or effect. This will be an introductory course, no experience required.
You will learn what kind of materials to use to achieve effects, what tools to use, from exact-o knives, sanders, dremels, standard box cutters, hot knives, heat guns, contact cement, to sealants like plast- dip, latex and paints.
In our first class we will make a few items using designs given to us for free and some custom templates, as well allow you to make a prop with your own unique touch to take home. Materials are provided! Just bring your creativity and see what you come up with!
