Tied together by the seismic impact of the Pacific Northwest music scene, both memoirs examine what it means to live through what remains. Meszaros’s Song Over The Bones is a visceral exploration of trauma, ghosting, and healing through sound; Moriarty’s Mia Zapata & The Gits offers a firsthand account of the band’s rise within the grunge era, and the spirit that still echoes today.
