INTO THE WIND, a performance about the WASP, the Women's Airforce Service Pilots of WWII, by Master storyteller Rebecca Hom.

-To gain more lift at takeoff, pilots face the aircraft directly into the prevailing wind. During WWII the WASP, proudly flew into the headwinds of gender bias and the strict cultural conventions of 1940's society. WASP were the bold female pilots, the first females to fly US military planes. Rebecca shares stories of their risks, their humor and stamina while facing the winds of a world at war and a country skeptical of the appropriateness of their assignment.
