September 14 (7:30pm), old meets new in the retelling of Stravinsky’s iconic Soldier’s Tale. A cast of NYC Ballet dancers join forces with librettist Mark Campbell (award-winning writer of Seattle Opera’s The (R)evolution of Steve Jobs) to modernize this fantastic story of a soldier trading his violin to the devil for all of the world’s riches. The night caps off with a world-premiere by Seattle’s own Angelique Poteat entitled “Her Story of a Soldier”, giving voice to enlisted women’s struggle for equality.
