The fish are jumping at Longs Pond. This event is designed to encourage fishing as a family activity. Many volunteers are onsite to help teach fishing basics. Volunteers are from the local fishing clubs like the Puget Sound Anglers and Capital City Bass Club.
Register for a fishing start time between 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 11:00 am or 12:30 pm. Each child’s fishing time is limited to one hour or when a maximum of two fish are caught.
Long's Pond is located within Woodland Creek Community Park. The pond is regulated by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) for youth fishing (14 years of age and younger) year-round.
