My partner David and I have been putting on partner dance events in Olympia for a combined sum of 20 years. In 2017 we got serious together and started OlyDance (LLC). Through this event organization company we currently put on two weekly social dances in Olympia “Tuesday Swing at the Eagles” (A 20+ year legacy dance we took over, formerly known as OlySwing) and Friday Salsa at Equal Latin’s. We have also thrown free/large events for the community like the August fountain dance at the Heritage fountain (which we are hoping to do this summer as well). We also love to hire and support live music and performers whenever possible, eventually we would love to hire local musicians and have live music every week. Our values and pillars we run our business on are fun, community, and dance. We were one of the first businesses in Olympia to require proof of vaccination, and have always listened to and encouraged local mandates.
